MBA student’s association “VOLMAS” valedictory function was arranged on 17th May 2013 at Srinivas at MBA department of Institute of technology, Mangalore. Principal of the college Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D presided over the function. President of the VOLMAS, Miss Vishnavi Welcomed the gathering, Mr. Shivraj, Secretary of VOLMAS read the associations achievement for the academic year. Prof. Rajesh P.S, staff coordinator of the student association delivered the vote of thanks.
A technical project exhibition by the students of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil was arranged at the college campus on 10th & 11th May 2013. Mr. Sushil Chandra, General Manager (HR), MRPL, Mangalore inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the efforts of the students in designing and implementing innovative projects. He advised the students to improve their communication skills along with technical knowledge. Sri. A. Raghavedra, President, A Shama Rao Foundation, presided over the function. Vice President, A. Srinivasa Rao & Mrs. Mitra S Rao, Secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, asked the students to develop projects which will be useful to the society. They expressed their happiness about the variety of innovative projects developed by the students.
Students of final and pre final year students belonging to Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science and Information Science & Engineering exhibited more than 180 technical projects. 8 of them are recognized and sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST).
Principal of the college Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D briefed the importance of the Exhibition. Dr. Thomas Pinto, convener & Head Dept. of Mechanical Engineering were present on the occasion. 
Srinivas Institute of Technology is organizing two day student project exhibition on 10th & 11th May 2013. Total of 180 projects will be exhibited in this intra college project exhibition. Department of Mechanical Engineering will present 45 projects, Computer Science will present 65 projects, Information Science will present 25 projects and Department of Electronics & Communication will present 45 projects in this exhibition. Among these projects, 8 projects are sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST). Cash prizes will be awarded for the winners.
Prospective applicants desirous of taking admission to First year of undergraduate course in Architecture (B.Arch) in India have to take NATA. NATA scores are used by admissions authorities of different Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture after their 10+2. Council of Architecture has given approval to conduct NATA in Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil from the current academic year. Department of M. B. A., Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil Mangalore has hosted one day national seminar and student paper presentation contest on “Business in the Global Economy : Issues & challenges” on 26th April 2013.
The inaugural function of the seminar was scheduled at 10.00 am Sri. K. Shyamachandra Bhat, deputy vice President, Axis Bank was the chief guest on the occasion. He also delivered the keynote address on “Business in the Global Economy : Issues & challenges”. Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D Principal, deliver the presidential address.
More than 29 delegates & students from different colleges from Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra presented their paper in this seminar. And more than 250 M.B.A students participated in this seminar.
The valedictory function was scheduled at 3.30 pm on the same day. Dr. M A Lahori, Director, Anekant Institute of Management Studies, Baramati, Pune was the Chief Guest. The delegates were handed over with the participation certificates and the cash prize, certificates for the winner of student paper presentation contest were distributed on this occasion.
The M-Tech Student Association AMIT-Association of Master In Technology, inaugurated on 26-04-2013 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil Mangalore. The Association is inaugurated by Dr. Swapan Bhattacharya, the Director of NITK Surathkal and in his speech he highlighted the importance and activities to be conducted under the association to enhance the knowledge.
The President of A.Shama Rao Foundation CA.A Raghavendra Rao address the students that the active participation is required to get the benefit from the association. Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D, Principal was present during the function.
During the function the association Website is also inaugurated.
The P.G Coordinator Dr.Neelakanth V Londhe welcomed the gathering, the master ceremony of the function done by a M-Tech student Smt. Ramya M.
On 27-04-2013 the two technical talks have been arranged on the topics Mechatronics, Project Management and Documentation under the association by Dr. Ramesh Kini. Professor, NITK Surathkal and Dr. Subhod M Kulakarni Professor, NITK Surathkal.

Dr. Ganeshan PT., Sports Physiotherapist, Indian Hockey League and Movement solutions, trained our BPT and MPT students in the areas of Kinesiotaping (K-actice), Sports Taping and Conventional Taping Methods between 3rd and 4th April, 2013. Case demonstrations in Orthopedics, Pediatrics and Neurological ailments were discussed and practiced with giving importance to the sports specific taping methods.
