Mega India, 2011 – a Two day Seminar on Indian Business was organized by Srinivas Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pandeshwar, Mangalore on 13th and 14th December, 2011. The seminar includes various presentations, debates, chart making etc. by the students of 1st year MBA of the Institute on the topics connected to Indian Business and doing business in India.Mega India, 2011 was organized on 13th December, 2011 by Sri S. Ajith Kumar Hegde, Commissioner, Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), Mangalore. In his inaugural address, Mr. Hegde highlighted that in India unemployment in its true sense does not exist as there are enough opportunities to the people who are willing to work and stressed that we need to convert our population into human resources who are willing to work and make a difference. Sri CA A. Raghavendra Rao, President, A. Shama Rao Foundation presided over the function. he remarked that students should build positive attitude and find opportunities that are widely present in Indian economy. He said that whenever an opportunity is seen it should be encashed effectively to build a successful career.

Srinivas Rao said age is not a barrier for success. He also stated that being fresh always & active are important for young generation’s achievement. Smt A. Mitra S. The Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences, Mukka conducted its first Multispeciality Integrated Continuing Medical Education program on 29th October 2011 at its Mukka Campus. The CME was inaugurated by the President of the Srinivas Group, CA.A. Raghavendra Rao while the Vice President A.Srinivas Rao was the guest of honour.The co-sponsors GE Healthcare was represented by their Chief Mr. Udaya Nambiar, who was also the Chief Guest. The CME was attended by more than 150 delegates including students and faculty from health sciences institutions in and around Mangalore, as well as many senior doctors belonging to IMA Dakshina Kannada and Surathkal and Family Doctors Association. The Scientific deliberations addressed issues pertaining to Trauma Care by Dr. J S Raghavendra, Blood Bank by Dr. S V Srikar, Sick Child by Dr Ramnath Mahale, management of Asthma by Dr Madhu The Guest speaker Dr. Prabha Adhikari gave a presentation on a clinical approach to the differential diagnosis of Acute Febrile Illness. The Dean & Medical Director Dr C V Raghuveer welcomed the gathering and Chief Medical Officer Dr Annayya Kulal proposed the vote of thanks.
