Mega India, 2011 @ Srinivas Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pandeshwar (MBA)

Mega India, 2011 – a Two day Seminar on Indian Business was organized by Srinivas Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pandeshwar, Mangalore on 13th and 14th December, 2011. The seminar includes various presentations, debates, chart making etc. by the students of 1st year MBA of the Institute on the topics connected to Indian Business and doing business in India.Mega India, 2011 was organized on 13th December, 2011 by Sri S. Ajith Kumar Hegde, Commissioner, Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), Mangalore. In his inaugural address, Mr. Hegde highlighted that in India unemployment in its true sense does not exist as there are enough opportunities to the people who are willing to work and stressed that we need to convert our population into human resources who are willing to work and make a difference. Sri CA A. Raghavendra Rao, President, A. Shama Rao Foundation presided over the function. he remarked that students should build positive attitude and find opportunities that are widely present in Indian economy. He said that whenever an opportunity is seen it should be encashed effectively to build a successful career. was the keynote speaker. He spoke on making Mangalore a world class city through trade corridor approach.Prof. P.S. Aithal, Principal, SIMS welcomed the gathering. Mr. Subrahmanya Kumar N., Convenor of Mega India 2011 elaborated the purpose of Mega India, 2011. The students of the Institute actively participated in the two day program.

Srinivas College of Physiotherapy & Research Center celebrated Student Council Inauguration & Fresher’s day 2011 celebration on 03 December at 10.30 am at Srinivas College Gallery hall, Pandeshwar, Mangalore. Shri Ajith Kumar Hedge. S Commissioner, Mangalore Urban Development Authority was the chief guest of the function. Sri A. Srinivas Rao vice President A. Shama Rao Foundation presided over the function. Speaking on the occasion Shri Ajith Kumar urged the young generation to feel and think young to become better professional in the future. Hard work, perseverance and confidence are the key factors to maintain the success. He gave an example of Sachin Tendulkar, when an Australian bowler Brad Hogg asked for autograph of him after he took his wicket in a test match, Sachin Tendulkar wrote that “this will never happen again” .He also pointed out the need for India to convert population into human resource as countries like as China is doing.Vice President A. Srinivas Rao said age is not a barrier for success. He also stated that being fresh always & active are important for young generation’s achievement. Smt A. Mitra S. Rao Director, Srinivas Group of colleges & Dr. M. Ramprasad Principal, Srinivas College of Physiotherapy & Research Center were also present on the occasion.

Launch ceremony of Srinivas Arogya card

Srinivas Arogya card ceremony was held on Saturday 19-11-2011. The President of Srinivas Group of Institutions Sri CA A Racghavendra Rao inaugurated the function. He said the Srinivas hospital was built in respect of providing quality treatment and quality medical education. He also said that Srinivas Arogya Card will reduce the burden of medical expenses of the people. The Vice President of Srinivas Group of Institutions Sri A Srinivas Rao said, Srinivas Hospital has got latest medical equipments with all the facilities by which the quality of treatment is very rich and these facilities are given to the general public in reasonable rates. He also said that the Srinivas Arogya Card will provide considerable discount for in the facilities of the hospital. The Medical director of Srinivas Hospital Dr. C.V. SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND RESEARCH CENTRE, MUKKA CONDUCTS ITS FIRST INTEGRATED CME

The Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences, Mukka conducted its first Multispeciality Integrated Continuing Medical Education program on 29th October 2011 at its Mukka Campus. The CME was inaugurated by the President of the Srinivas Group, CA.A. Raghavendra Rao while the Vice President A.Srinivas Rao was the guest of honour.The co-sponsors GE Healthcare was represented by their Chief Mr. Udaya Nambiar, who was also the Chief Guest. The CME was attended by more than 150 delegates including students and faculty from health sciences institutions in and around Mangalore, as well as many senior doctors belonging to IMA Dakshina Kannada and Surathkal and Family Doctors Association. The Scientific deliberations addressed issues pertaining to Trauma Care by Dr. J S Raghavendra, Blood Bank by Dr. S V Srikar, Sick Child by Dr Ramnath Mahale, management of Asthma by Dr Madhu The Guest speaker Dr. Prabha Adhikari gave a presentation on a clinical approach to the differential diagnosis of Acute Febrile Illness. The Dean & Medical Director Dr C V Raghuveer welcomed the gathering and Chief Medical Officer Dr Annayya Kulal proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Dr Ritesh Menezes and Ms. Megan Fernandes.
