ISAP (Information Search Analysis & Presentation), a unique program of more than 350 technical seminar presentations in just one day by the 2nd year engineering students was inaugurated on 13 Sept 2014 at Srinivas School of Engineering, Mukka, Mangalore. Dr. K. N. Lokesh, HOD, Dept. of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr.Shreeprakash B., Principal of the college presided over the function.
Dr. Suma Bhat, HOD, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the dignitaries and gathering.
Prof. Jyothi Shetty, HOD, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering introduced the Chief Guest of the function to the gathering.
Dr.Ramakrishna Hegde, Vice Principal and HOD, Dept. of Civil Engineering briefed the importance of ISAP in the development of research abilities of engineering students in order to make them as smart engineers. In his key note address Dr.Ramakrishna Hegde said that ISAP will help the students to have creativity, innovative and realistic ideas to improve their confidence to accept the challenges in the industry.
Chief Guest of the function Dr. K. N. Lokesh addressed the students and said that communication skills have become an integral part of engineering students. Dr.Lokesh said that the management of Srinivas School of Engineering has done good initiative by organising ISAP every year which will initiate and motivate the engineering students to know the means of searching information which will boost their confidence when they start their career in the industry. Dr.Lokesh highlighted the importance of communication in the field of engineering education which will help in the overall personality development of engineering students and also in the campus recruitment in the final year.
In his presidential remarks, Dr.Shreeprakash B. said that Srinivas School of Engineering is organising ISAP over the past several years with the aim of providing an opportunity to improve their communication skills and ability in searching technical information from different sources. Dr.Shreeprakash said that ISAP is an initial step in preparing the students for the final year project work where they need to access technical information and to present the project work with good communication skills.

HODs of various departments, faculty members, staff and students were present on this occasion. After the inaugural function, students presented technical seminars in their field of specialization.
