Sri CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, President, A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore in his presidential remarks exhorted the budding pharmacists to discover new drugs which can completely eradicate the disease and he congratulated the senior Pharmacists Sri A Ramachandra Rao, Director, Simcon Laboratories, Mangalore and Ramakrishna Ballakuraya, Maithri Pharma, Mangalore who were felicitated as a token of respect for their contribution in the field of Pharmacy.
Guests of honour Sri Ganesh Kamath, Secretary, South Canara District Chemists and Druggists Association, Mangalore pointed out role of the Pharmacists in the discovery of new drugs which should be cost effective, affordable to common man. Sri Shankar Naik, Asst. Drugs Controller, outlined the professional spirit of Pharmacists in the service of mankind
